40th Anniversary Alumni Spotlight: Marilyn W. de Leo; Sophisticated Marketing in Nine Languages for International Clients
Marilyn W. de Leo ’94 graduated with a B.S. in Business, Management and Economics from the Metropolitan Center. She is the founder of de Leo International, a full-service marketing and communications company.
She has developed extensive marketing and advertising for international and domestic clients in nine languages for 20 years. Her sophisticated approach to the consumer, trade and non-profit sectors has helped her clients keep clear product identification within extremely competitive categories.
De Leo’s holistic approach to her clients’ marketing and product issues has allowed her to become their marketing partner, developing long-term strategic as well as tactical solutions to their problems.
She has worked as a director of development at Mount Sinai Medical Center, United Way, City of Hope, Children’s Burn Foundation and was executive director at the American Lung Association.
Prior to establishing de Leo International, she was a senior vice president and principal of Batey and Chan Advertising as well as senior director at Della Femina WCRS and Wells, Rich, Greene Advertising.
She has worked in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Born in California, de Leo holds dual citizenship with United States of America and Italy.
