Nursing Nondegree Study
Interested in nursing but not ready for the RN to B.S. in Nursing degree program? Licensed registered nurses are eligible to take nursing courses as a nondegree student.
Requests from nondegree students are considered on an individual basis. The Admissions and Review Committee and the associate dean/director of nursing consider nondegree study requests with regard to a specific course and student-faculty ratio within the course. Please note: students pursuing the RN to B.S. in Nursing degree at Empire State College have first rights to all nursing course offerings, followed by:
- nursing students from other upper-level programs within SUNY
- nursing students from upper-level programs beyond SUNY
- Empire State College students
- other nondegree students
